Reid has over 30 years of line management and consulting experience, primarily in marketing and strategic planning. He began his marketing career at “academy” Fortune 100 CPG companies and has gone on to work in a wide variety of industries, in food/beverage, health & beauty aids (HBA) and in the global wine industry. His experience spans B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business), domestic and international, large, mid-sized and smaller companies, including start-ups. He has consistently led teams in achieving profitable growth, introduced highly successful new products and substantially improved long-term brand equity.

Reid is the founder and principal of Fruition Marketing & Strategic Consulting, a management consulting firm based in Santa Rosa, California. As the name suggests, Fruition is primarily oriented toward helping companies realize their highest potential, by planning, organizing and executing for optimal results. Fruition’s main focus is on strategy development, planning, competitive assessments, positioning/branding and communication.

Prior to launching Fruition, Reid was VP of Marketing for Accolade Wines North America, where he successfully reinvigorated several brands including Geyser Peak, restoring both robust revenue growth and significantly improving profitability. Before that, he was a partner at Trion LLC, a management consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas. Trion is comprised primarily of former Fortune 100 executives, and employs a team approach in which several partners are involved in quickly developing innovative solutions to client problems and opportunities.

Before Trion, Reid was SVP, Marketing for Bimbo Bakeries USA, the $5 billion U.S. division of Grupo Bimbo, a Mexican company, with brands such as Oroweat, Mrs Baird’s, Bimbo and Marinela. While at Bimbo, the company turned from a loss to a profit situation while simultaneously growing revenues at an 8% CAGR over four years, in flat to declining categories. Before that, he was the VP Marketing & General Manager of the Premium Division of Treasury Wine Estates, where he led the Beringer brand to the #1 market share position globally. Earlier, Reid held marketing management positions at Quaker Oats, Minute Maid, and Warner-Lambert. He began his career as an IT consultant with Arthur Andersen’s Consulting Division, now known as Accenture.

Reid earned a BBA degree in Economics, Finance and Marketing from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University in New York City. He lives with his wife of 26 years, Sarah, in the heart of Northern California's wine country - Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County.
